Memorial Day at Catholic Cemeteries
During this Year of Mercy, "we are called to remember everyone, even those who no one remembers," says Pope Francis. "We remember those who sacrificed their lives to serve others. We especially entrust to the Lord, those who have left us during the past year."
On Memorial Day, come offer a spiritual work of mercy and pray in loving memory of family, friends, and fellow citizens who have given their lives for our freedom and now experience their destiny in the love of Christ.
Special outdoor Masses will be held at 10:00am on Monday, May 30th on the sacred ground of the Catholic cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Washington, including: Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Rd., Clinton, MD, (301) 868-5141
St. Mary's Queen of Peace Cemetery, 38888 Dr. Johnson Road, Mechanicsville, MD 20659 (301) 475-5005.

Share Mercy with People in Need
Catholic Charities, the social service arm of the Church, welcomes you, the Church, to share mercy by serving people in need. Come make a difference in someone's life and your own! Sign up for a onetime event or make a bigger commitment: be a mentor to someone returning from prison, welcome people arriving at a shelter for the night, or help provide 1,000 people with dental care at the Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy (clinical and general volunteers needed for this event July 28-30 in Waldorf).
Get information and get started by visiting www.CatholicCharitiesDC.org/volunteer.
Sunday TV Mass
Do you know someone who cannot get to Mass?

It is a wonderful ministry for those members of our Catholic family who are unable to be physically present with a local worshiping community for the Sunday Eucharistic Liturgy.
The Mass airs every Sunday at 10:30am on WDCW-50.
