On this feast day the cemetaries of the Archdiocese of Washington join the Church in offering the companionship of the Blessed Mother to those who are mourning the loss of their loved ones. Swing and Ballroom Dance--

Theology on Tap begins on Wednesday, Sept. 24th.
Young adults in their 20s and 30s are invited to attend. The young adult speaker series takes place at DB McMillan’s in California, MD. The series will run six consecutive Wednesdays with happy hour from 6:00pm to 7:00pm and speakers from 7:00pm to 8:00pm.

47th Annual Blessing of the Fleet

A Roman Catholic Mass will be said on St. Clement's Island, site of Maryland's first landing, on Sunday at 1:30pm. Blessing of the boats will take place after the Mass. Disciple Youth Bible Study starting up need teens and adult facilitators! The Augustine Institute has put together an exemplary program called Disciple for the formation of high school students. Part bible study-part apologetics class- part prayer support-part peer fellowship, this program uses online videos to spark discussion in gender specific small groups of 5-6 teens. The program meets at a host's home during the week. We have many groups forming all over the county and are interested in recruiting more participants. There is also a need for young adults or parents who might be willing to be trained as a facilitator or serve as a host family.

Ladies of Charity will be having their monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 23rd at 7:00pm in the sacristy. All are welcome to attend.

3rdAnnual Cow Pie Bingo--a free community event sponsored by the Ridge Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary.
October 11th rain or shine, from noon -4:00pm.
Cows released at 2:00pm. This event takes place at Flat Iron Farm, 45480 Highway to Heaven Lane, Great Mills, MD 20634.
Cow Pie Tickets are $10.00 each.
There will be a car show, petting zoo, food will be available and Flat Iron Farms shops will be open.

RCIA classes for St. Michael's, St. Peter and St. Cecilia parishes will be held at St. Michael's beginning on Saturday, September 27th from 10:00amnoon in the sacristy.
All those who are interested in becoming a catholic, those who are catholics but never confirmed and catholics who are interested in learning more about their faith are welcome.
The class will be every Saturday until Easter.

The Ridge Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will be holding a Schwan's Truckload Fundraiser on the second Saturday of each month at the Fire House located at 13820 Point Lookout Road, Ridge, MD 20680.
