Sunday TV Mass
Do you know someone who cannot get to Mass?
Since 1952, the Archdiocese of Washinton has produced a weekly televised Mass for those who are homebound, broadcast from the Crypt Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
It is a wonderful ministry for those members of our Catholic family who are unable to be physically present with a local worshiping community for the Sunday Eucharistic Liturgy.
The Mass airs every Sunday at 10:30am on WDCW-50.

Kalnasy Concert Series - 2017/18 Season
The 3rd season of the Kalnasy Concert Series opens with the Southern Maryland Community Gospel Choir.
Their concert is Sunday, August 20, at 3:00 at St. Aloysius in Leonardtown.
The SMCGC is under the direction of Mrs. Sherri Fenwick. The theme for this energy-filled concert is, "I Feel the Spirit."
Admission is free. Donations are accepted.
All Kalnasy Concert Series events are free and open to individuals and families of all religious denominations and abilities.

The Kalnasy Concert Series is a faith-based music program grown from one woman's love for music and ministry.
The Series, supported by St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Kalnasy family members, and others in the SOMD Community is coordinated by Georgia Harvey, a former music director, local organist, pianist and teacher.

10th Anniversary Concert on August 20th at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Leonardtown at 3:00pm. Free.

Altar Server Training
On Saturday, August 26th, there will be altar server training at 10:00am in the sacristy.
Anyone interested in becoming a server or would like a refresher course please plan to attend.

Religious Education-
There will be a meeting for the religious education catechists on Sunday, August 27th from 9:15am - 10:15am at St. Michael's Church.
All returning catechists and all those interested in participating in teaching Religious Education Faith Formation are encouraged to attend.
Children attending public schools in grades K-8 are required to attend religious education classes.
Classes will begin on Sunday morning September 10th at St. Michael's School from 9:15am to 10:15am.

Volunteers needed at the Catholic Evangelization Booth, St. Mary's County Fair!
Thursday, September 21st-Sunday, September 24th.
Sign up online for a 2-hour commitment at Volunteers are highly encouraged to attend a training session on Thursday, September 14th at 6:30pm at Father Andrew White School Gym. A light summer will be provided.

St. George 2017 Annual Crab Cake Dinner
will be on Sunday, August 20th from noon-5:00pm. Crab Cakes, fried chicken, baked ham and all the trimmings. There will be baked goods, raffles, and a White Elephant table.
The cost will be $26 Adults; $10 children 6-12 years; and free for children under 6 years. All carry-outs are $26.
This is a fundraising event for St. George Catholic Church, part of the Archdiocese of Washington.

Our Lady of Fatima, Portugal, 100th Anniversary
Parishes throughout St. Mary's County are in the midst of preparations to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima, Portugal.
The commemoration will include a Do-It-Yourself retreat book entitled 33 Days to Morning Glory, small group studies throughout the County, all leading up to a Mass, procession, and consecration to Jesus through Mary on October 13th.
If you are interested in leading a small group or volunteering in some way with this effort, please attend a planning meeting on Sunday, August 13th at 7:00pm at St. Aloysius Church.

Forget-Me-Not Brunch and Silent Auction
Sunday,August 13th from 10:00am-1:00pm at Olde Breton Inn in Leonardtown, MD.
Antique Car Show from 9:00am-2:00pm. The fundraiser brunch will be held by the Care Blairs team for Southern Maryland Walk to End Alzheimer's.
The brunch will also feature a 50/50 raffle. Donation $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
Car show entrance fee is $25 which includes brunch. This event is being held in memory of Matt Blair, as well as all of those who have fought Alzheimer's Disease.

New Choir Members Needed the choir is looking for new members. Anyone from middle school age and older. Practice is on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm and sing at 10:30am Sunday mass.

The Rescue Squad Auxiliary will be having an All You Can Eat Breakfast on Sunday, August 27th from 8:30am-11:00am at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ridge.
$10 per person.

Camp Maria introduces Family Fellowship Swim Evenings!
The available July dates are the 12th, 18th, 19th and every Tuesday and Wednesday evening in August.
The times for these events is 4:00pm – 8:00pm, weather permitting.
Check in at the Dining Lodge when you arrive.
Cost is $6 for adults, $5 for kids.
Refreshments available for purchase. Certified Lifeguard on Duty.

Middle School Youth Group is Tuesdays from 6:00pm- 7;30pm at IHM.
High School Youth Group is every Friday from 7:00pm-9:00pm at St. Cecilia's
Second Friday combined Middle School and High School event, usually 5:30pm each second Friday of the month.

Catholic Campaign for Human Development
Please be generous in this week's second collection for Catholic Campaign for Human Development.
In the United states, one in six people lives in poverty.
With this collection you support programs that address the causes of poverty and provide a sustainable future for those who are struggling across the country.
In addition, 25 percent of funds collected remains in our diocese to fund local anti-proverty projects.
Please prayerfully consider how you can support this collection and work on the margins.

Women's Study
Tuesday evenings 7:00pm- 9:00pm starting October 4th in St. Michael's sacristy.
Please come join other women and encounter the love that God, the Father has for you.
This is a powerful Catholic study for the imperfect woman seeking holiness in an imperfect world. The 25 week study will include a video lecture by Johnnette Benkovic, host of the EWTN show, "The Abundant Life", and large and small group discussions.
Each Tuesday, we will meet two great women saints, receive wisdom from Holy Mother Church, unpack the life-changing wisdom of Holy Scripture, and discover how the Blessed Virgin Mary is an exemplar of discipleship and the pathway to her Son, Jesus Christ and the heart of the Father.
