Chicken Dinner Sunday October 11, 2015 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM K of C Hall

Sunday TV Mass--Do you know someone who cannot get to Mass?
Please tell them about the Sunday TV Mass, which is produced by the Archdiocese of Washington and taped in the Crypt Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. It is a wonderful ministry for those members of our Catholic family who are unable to be physically present with a local worshiping community for the Sunday Eucharistic Liturgy.
The Mass airs every Sunday at 10:30am on WDCW-50.

Theology on Tap is back!
Join PAXCatholic the second Wednesday of each month at Olde Town Pub in Leonardtown for a night of fellowship with your peers.
PAXCatholic is a regional young adult ministry welcoming all young adults aged 21-39.
ToT Happy Hour starts at 6pm with a talk by a guest speaker starting at 7pm.
This month, Seminarian Joe Salser will present "The Pope: All Things Pontiff" on October 14.

Angel's Watch Shelter for Women and Children in Hughesville is in desperate need of comforters, sheets and pillows.
We are looking at a cold winter and we are completely out of comforters. All our beds are twins.
It would be greatly appreceated if we can received new and gently used comforters for our shelter residents.

Monday, October 19th spend an evening of recollection with Fr. Dave Wells at Saint John Neumann, Gaithersburg, MD, sponsored by Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Vocation Society.
Schedule for the evening 7:00pm-Welcome and Introduction;
7:15pm-Exposition of the Most Blessed Sacrament;
7:30pm-reflection by Fr. Dave Wells;
8:00pm-Litany and Silent prayer;
8:30pm- Benediction;
7:00pm-8:30pm confessions will be heard.
This Fall the Synod of Bishops meet on the families. Please join us to pray for its fruitful effects on vocations to the priesthood and Consecrated Life!

St. Maria's Meals, Breakfast Distribution Program
Every Friday morning, volunteers serve a hot breakfast in the parking lot at the corner of University Boulevard and Piney Branch Road.
Volunteers set up the tables and tents, serve breakfast and help with clean up.
Catholic Charities is seeking committed groups of 5 to volunteer at different times throughout the year.

Youth Group New Schedule
Middle School Youth Group is Tuesdays, 5:30pm-7:00pm at IHM;
High School Youth Group is every other Saturday, 7:00pm-9:00pm at St. Cecilia's (starting Sep. 26th) - full calendar forthcoming; Discussion Group for High School (Politics/Philosophy) is Wednesdays, 7:00pm- 9:00pm at St. Cecilia's.

Bus trip sponsored by St. Cecilia's to see the "Miracle of Christmas" at the Sight and Sound Theater in Pennsylvania on November 19th 2015.
$105 per person includes bus trip, lunch and the theater reservation.

World Youth Day--St. Mary's Ryken High School students have the opportunity to go to World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland in July 2016. Students will follow the Footsteps of Saint Pope John Paul II, visiting his hometown and all of the places important in his life before becoming Pope. We will then welcome Pope Francis to Krakow and spend four days celebrating our rich Catholic faith with him and tens of thousands of catholic youth from all over the world.
This is a once-in-a lifetime opportunity and students will make memories that last a lifetime.
The cost of the trip in $4000.00 for round-trip airfare, four-star hotel accommodations, World Youth Day registration, tours, land transportation, and most meals. We plan to fundraise to make the cost more affordable.
