|Kalnasy Concert Series Season 2016-17 Presents the Southern Maryland Community Gospel Choir|
The first concert of the Kalnasy Concert Series for the 2016-17 season will be presented by the Southern Maryland Community Gospel Choir.|
The concert will be held at St. Aloysius on Sunday, August 21, at 3:00 PM. The theme of this concert is "UNITY!"" The Director of the SMCGC is Mrs. Sherri Fenwick,
a professional musician, and a recent retiree from the St. Mary's County Public Schools,
where she taught music for 36 years.
The Gospel Choir consists of people from many different backgrounds and religions;
their mission if to "create harmony through diversity" and use music to bless and encourage people.
Admission is free and donations are always accepted.

Since 1952, the Archdiocese
of Washinton has produced a weekly televised
Mass for those who are homebound, broadcast from the Crypt Church of the Basilica of the National
Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
It is a
wonderful ministry for those members of our Catholic
family who are unable to be physically present
with a local worshiping community for the Sunday

Rhythm & Riches Event to benefit St. Michael's
October 22nd at the St. Mary's County Fairgrounds.
The 'Rhythm' includes music from the
bands "The Amish Outlaws" and "Robbie Boothe".
'Rhythm' tickets are $15 each.

begin on Sunday September 11th at St. Michael's
School. Class times are from 9:15am-10:15am. All
children in grades K-8 not attending Catholic School
are required to attend the Religious Education Faith
Formation classes. Registration will be available

Historic St. Mary's City
This August, for the first
time in over 15 years the Maryland Dove, a
recreated tall ship, is headed back to Baltimore.
The ship is an important exhibit presenting the story
of the first colonists of Maryland and their journey
to the New World and we are excited to once again
share that exhibit with the public in Baltimore.
Historic St. Mary's City will open the Dove to visitors
and also host a gala on Pier One, in Baltimore's
Inner Harbor (301 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD

August 29th and open to the general public.

Breakfast Distribution Program
Every Friday morning, volunteers serve a hot breakfast in the
parking lot at the corner of University Boulevard and Piney
Volunteers set up the tables and tents, serve breakfast and help
with clean up.
